Great, great, great!
A great musician has got a great friend who had a great idea! The result is a gr.. phantastic new album!!
Jem Cohen a new york film maker (benjamin smoke & instrumental) and a good friend of Vic Chesnutt had the idea of how the next album should be realized.
He took him to montreal where they went to the hotel2tango, the old godspeed!… recording studio and invited members of Silver Mt Zion as well as Fugazi, Hanged up or Frankie Sparrow to record “north star deserter”.
All together, they “made” north star deserter to what it is, maybe his best album so far!

Vic is touring with what I would call “my own dream band” incl. members of Fugazi, Godspeed… and Silver Mt Zion.
